How to prepare
Glass: Martini
2 bottles Greenalls gin
10½ oz ripe sloe (Blackthorn Berries), fresh or frozen
10½ oz granulated sugar
Method:
Place the blackberries in a large kilner jar; add the sugar and then top up with the gin. Shake every day until the sugar is dissolved and then store in a dark place shaking occasionally.
After three months strain it through muslin or, if you have the patience, through coffee filter paper. Then bottle it and allow maturing for six to 12 months before drinking.
