Berkeley Square
Berkeley Square is a timeless classic, a London Dry Gin distilled in small batches in still no 8. Berkeley Square is crafted in a unique way through ‘Bouquet Garni’ distillation where the key botanicals are wrapped in muslin and steeped in the triple distilled spirit to infuse their essential oils. Only the purest water, filtered through ancient Chester pebble beds is used. The unique distillation combined with the use of only the finest botanicals and purest water results in a complex gin of exceptional quality.
Just as there are ordinary blended whiskies and malts that have been carefully made and jealously aged, so there are different rankings of gin. This is not a gin whose label you hide. Berkeley Square is something to flaunt and keep next to the malts.
The base botanicals provide all the traditional notes of a typical London dry distilled gin: juniper, citrus earthy and pepper notes, while additional botanicals give depth and life to the gin’s character. Taking inspiration from fresher herbaceous notes the new botanicals added to the traditional recipe include basil which provides the high green herbaceous notes, lavender which gives strength and impact by virtue of an earthy floral note and kieffer lime leaves which adds the rounded sweet lime finish.
